Growing Jicama in the UK

Can you growing Jicama in the UK. The answer is yes as long as we get a long season which we have done over the last few years. You will need to start the seeds early i.e now on a window sill inside them move on the 6 inch pots using John Iness soil based compost agian inside. This is so that the plant reach a good size when you plant them outside in larger contains once the risk of frost has passed. This is a link to some further information
