Leylandi Hedge Gaps In The Base Of Established Hedge.
Question
I have a large Leylandii hedge, which is perfect for my needs, however, there is no foliage at the base of the trunk and this continues to about 3 feet. How can i improve the look of my hedge and do i need to fill these gaps with new plants.
Answer
The normal solution to create some cover at the base is to plant a plant called lonicera nitida in the gaps under the main hedge.lonicera nitida will grow in the shade and form a dense hedging effect. For More information.
