Moving An Established Wisteria.
Moving an established wisteria. Its very hard to move them mainly because an established plant has very deep roots and this makes it very hard to move the plant and keep any root hairs in-tacked.These are the roots that take up the water. If you decide to have a go at moving a wisteria you will need to re-plant it on a lot of organic matter such as well rotted garden compost or organic manure. Then through the whole growing season you will need to water the plant every day to ensure it does not dry out.You will also need to cut the head of the plant back just leaving two or three stems about a metre to two metres long.
