Case study – Garden slugs

January 13th, 2015 · No Comments

Garden slugs control is a good example of how advertising on GardenAdvice.co.uk  works.
Last season 80 percent of our general GardenAdvice and MyGardenTeam members where effected by slugs or snails which led to the GardenAdvice team being asked 10,987 questions and requests for advice on slug control. This resulted in 6545 recommendations for biological control using a Parasitic nematode Phasmarhabditis hermaphrodita to control those slug problems. From the 6545 recommendations we are aware our members views and client purchased 3539 packs of the parasitic nematode at an average value of £7 each from online suppliers, garden centres and others making a total amount of sales related to our advice £24,773 This year with our new early pest and disease warming system for our members and clients combined with the growth in our MyGardenTeam service we are hoping to increase this figure dramatically
